About This Project

The POTSPOTSPOTS Plant Library is a free educational resource created to help people keep their plants alive and thriving.

Why We Built This

Plant care information on the internet is often scattered, contradictory, or buried under SEO-optimized fluff. We wanted to create something different: a clean, well-designed reference that gets straight to what you need to know.

Every plant profile, troubleshooting guide, and article is written with clarity and accuracy in mind. We explain the science behind the care, but we keep it practical. No guilt about past plant deaths, no "plant parent" language—just useful information.

Built for Bottom Watering

This project is created by POTSPOTSPOTS, makers of design-forward self-watering planters. While the library is genuinely meant to help everyone with plant care, we do include bottom-watering compatibility information for each plant—because we think it's a better way to water.

Bottom watering provides consistent moisture, encourages deeper root growth, and can help prevent common problems like fungus gnats and root rot. Whether you use our planters or a simple saucer, the principles work.

Our Approach

• Clear over clever. We use real horticultural terms, then explain them. No jargon for its own sake, but no dumbing down either.
• Accurate over comprehensive. We'd rather give you reliable information about 50 plants than dubious advice about 500.
• Practical over perfect. Most plants are more resilient than the internet suggests. We focus on what actually matters.
• Design matters. Good information deserves a good presentation. We care about the reading experience as much as the content.
